Lassenite for Turf
Lassenite
Lassenite is a great product for use on turf. Used as a top dress or during construction, Lassenite will enhance the health and look of all turf. Specifically, Lassenite will:
- Increase the water holding capacity of the soil and thereby reduce the frequency of watering.
- Introduce additional non-capillary pore space (air) to the profile.
- Promote the efficient movement of water and air in the root zone.
- Reduce compaction in high traffic areas such as golf greens and tee boxes.
- Increase the resilience of the turf on high use sports fields.
- Reduce fertilizer use.
- Reduce labour costs associated with intense turf maintenance.
This is a simple and easy to replicate trial done by our Alberta distributor, Erscon canada Inc. Five containers were filled with soil blended with Lassenite at various percentages and planted with grass seed. Each container received the same amount of water over a four week period. The results are self evident and provide a good reference for determining the performance you wish to obtain with Lassenite.
