Lassenite is a valuable addition to the Viticulturist’s tool box. When used for new plantings Lassenite reduces the amount of water, nutrients and labour required for new vines to establish. Of particular value is it's use in inter-planting. New vines planted between mature vines set up an irrigation imbalance as they require far more water than the mature ones. The use of Lassenite in a 20% by volume mix with soil as a backfill will dramatically reduce that irrigation imbalance. Newly planted vines can establish rapidly with reduced mortality reducing water and labour costs.
